Fire Tests And Approvals
TDSL has submitted TDSL Firespec Doorsets to Chiltern International Fire Ltd for testing to BS476:Part 22:1987 and received successful test performance ratings for a variety of exceptionally large door leaf sizes and configurations
TDSL Firespec FD60 - test reports RF95107 and BTC11064F apply in single and double door configurations with
over panels and glazed apertures
TDSL Firespec FD90 - test reports RF96104 and RF00120 apply in single and double door configurations with
over panels and glazed apertures
TDSL Firespec FD120 - test report RF98041 applies in single and double door configurations with over panels
and glazed apertures

Doors
Core: high performance timber-based composite with non-combustible sub facings encapsulated by high quality hardwood stiles and rails
Faces: mdf, plywood and chipboard offering the choice of decorative wood veneer, plastic laminate and quality stain/paint finishing
Lip pings: 10mm thick hardwood - bonded to vertical edges
Thicknesses:
TDSL Firespec FD60 - nominally 54mm
TDSL Firespec FD90 and FD120 - nominally 64mm
Availability:
TDSL Firespec FD60 - doors can be supplied separate or as complete doorsets with hardwood frames and ironmongery
TDSL Firespec FD90 and FD120 - doors are only supplied as part of complete doorsets with hardwood frames and ironmongery
Glazing: glazed apertures of unrestricted shape, single and multiple form and employing approved glasses and glazing systems are permitted within the scope of approvals (permitted glazing area must not exceed 0.60m2)
Door Frames
Made from a specially designed hardwood profile with a 12mm planted/rebated stop incorporated in single-acting configurations
TDSL Firespec FD60: hardwood of 640Kgm3 density (or greater) of minimum section 70 x 40mm after rebating and profiling
TDSL Firespec FD90: hardwood of 640Kgm3 density (or greater) of minimum section 90 x 45mm after rebating and profiling

Pre-Finishing
Wood veneers and plastic laminates of up to 2mm thick, stain and paint finishes and face-fixed timber moldings can be factory applied prior to delivery
TDSL Firespec Doorsets have been tested and approved using a wide variety of ironmongery components. Approval is also in place for the provision of security wire ways through the door core
It is recommended that items of ironmongery are factory fitted (where practicable) in order to ensure that the fire-resistance of the assembly is not compromised in any way. Note: a full list is available on request |

Supply
TDSL Firespec Doorsets are supplied fully factory assembled, pre-hung with standard hinges, ready for convenient on-site installation in accordance with approved specification
All double doorsets are supplied fully factory assembled with standard hinges installed and then disassembled for ease of transport and handling
In tumescent seals, in sections and types appropriate to the requirements of the specified configuration, are factory fitted
Storage and installation should be in accordance with good joinery practice
