Employees

TDSL places great emphasis on the health and safety of its working environment and the protection of employees. TDSL will provide environmental training appropriate to the responsibilities of employees. A dedicated named employee co- ordinates the environmental activities, monitors continuous improvement and reports to the board of directors.

Waste

TDSL seeks to reduce and where possible, eliminate waste through efficient utilisation of raw materials, fuel and energy, and by promoting re- use and re- cycling materials. It is TDSL's policy to reduce and eventually eliminate use of fossil fuels for its kilning operations and use energy from waste timber instead. TDSL operates in a manner de-signed to minimise and reduce emissions to air, land and water.

Packaging

TDSL is fully aware of and discharges its responsibilities under the Producer Responsibility (Packaging Waste) regulations of 1997.

Local Environment

The level of noise, visual impact and traffic flow to and from the company's sites are regularly reviewed to keep any disturbance to neighbours to a minimum.
